Life during medical school?

Life during medical school?
So I'm really interested in being a neurologist, maybe specializing in pediatrics. I'm a just now starting my Sophomore year of high school.
Anyways, what is life like during medical school, and how do people with little outside help afford it? I'll have little help from my parents, and after doing some research, it's apparently too hard to keep up a job, for at least the first year.
I know for a fact that I'll be going into health care as a career.
